I started a new ritual this year — a journal I call The Echoes.

It’s not quite a gratitude journal. It’s where I gather proof that the love I’ve given, the kindness I’ve offered, and the light I’ve shared… all find their way back eventually.

That night got dark fast, so I used humor to break the ice — and somehow, it helped.

Four years later, I’m three months sober (not forever, just for now), a little softer, a lot stronger, and endlessly thankful I can laugh looking back. 🤍

If you want a village, it starts with being a villager.

Everyone’s going through something they don’t talk about. I know firsthand how dark life can get — and how much it means when someone shows you even a little light.

Lately, I’ve been trying to give that back. A smile in passing. A “how’s your day?” at the checkout line. A quiet conversation on a morning walk or a laugh in a thrift store aisle.

The world feels heavy sometimes, but connection is everywhere if you slow down enough to see it.

You never know how much one small moment can mean — for them, or for you. 🤍

Meet Lilah, my 7-year-old foster girl with the world’s biggest heart (and probably part Dalmatian, part hound, and part professional snuggler 🐾).

She was surrendered after being attacked by another dog in the home, so she came to me nervous and shut down — but within hours of getting home, she was wagging her tail, leaning in for love, and following me everywhere.

Now she’s thriving. She’s house-trained, quiet, and happiest riding shotgun on errands in the Jeep and her ears in the wind 💛 She brings her new favorite stuffy everywhere and loves meeting new people.

She can be shy around new dogs at first, but with slow intros and kindness, she warms up beautifully. She’s affectionate, gentle, and just wants a person to belong to and wants to say hi to everyone on her walks.

I’ve been fostering for years, and social media has helped me find so many of these babies their forever homes — so if you can, please share to help get Lilah seen. I only have her for one more week before she returns to @hcprfoundation, and she deserves a happy ending. 🤍
