Hostel nightmares… I’ll go first.

My villain origin story:
I was supposed to be in Sicily.
Instead, thanks to record-breaking heatwaves and literal airport fires (yes 🔥), I got rerouted to Split, Croatia.

I booked the only place in town with a kitchen.
One fan.
Five Eastern European guys who hid the A/C remote and refused to put on clothes.
And a giant, nasty-ass pile of toenails. On. The. Bed. 🦶💀

Easily my worst hostel experience—but it didn’t ruin hostels for me. Not even close.

Because hostels aren’t just for broke backpackers. They’re for the ones who choose connection over convenience.
The solo adventurers, vagabonds, long-haul drifters, curious weirdos, kitchen-table philosophers… the ones who get it.
